Each week Newcastle Homes will advertise social housing on behalf of Newcastle City Council and Registered Providers (Housing Associations) giving applicants increased opportunity to find a home. 

We allocate housing in accordance with our Allocations and Lettings Policy. This means that properties are allocated in a fair and transparent way. You can find a copy of this policy here.

The demand for social housing is greater than the number of homes available. This means that applicants will wait longer to be re-housed, and in some cases, applicants may never be rehoused.

Housing Plus (Housing for people aged over 55)

Housinjg Plus offer a range of rented housing options for people aged over 55. This includes sheltered developments, housing for people with care needs and our community bungalows. For more information please click here.

Applying for Newcastle Homes

If you want to be considered for any of the properties advertised on this website, you will need to make an application. 

To make an application you will need to:

  1. Register your household. 

  2. Complete your Social Housing Application

  3. Provide us with supporting information.
